The Stewards Of Azeroth's Code of Conduct (Page 1)
The Guild Expectations
Goals: - Our main goal is to protect and watch over the Citizens of Azeroth. It is our duty to maintain peace and justice within our world. We will aid those in need and slay those who seek to opress. To show chivalry and wisdom to all we encounter. -As a guild we will strive to address such threats as the ones in Karazhan and beyond. ((we will strive to do pve end game instances and quests etc.)) - As a guild as we become better equiped to we will also be quelling the Horde threat. ((we also will participate in pvp events.)) -As a guild we will work hard as well as play hard. As such monthly guild events will be held. And each race should try and sponsor an event. - We will seek out other like minded citizens and guilds to join us in our quest to bring peace and justice.
Code of Conduct: Behavioral Expectations: Please remember, you are an Ambassador for our guild. Your actions do reflect not only on you, but on the guild as a whole. - Show respect for yourself and others. Maturity is appreciated. ((both ic and occ)) -There will be no taking advantage of newer members or less experinced members or citizens. -There will be no over charging of items to guild members or citizens -There will be no scams of any type on any members or citizens - ((There will be NO tolerence for ooc harrassment.)) Guild Support: - If you have any questions please feel free to ask. We will be happy to answer your questions. Also be aware that we may not be able to answer every question, however we will try. -We are NOT here to hand out free items: An item is far more vaulable when you have earned it. Do Not expect hand-outs. If you do get an item from a guild member please be sure to "pay it foward" or pay back the kindness in some way. We are a family. Family takes care of its own, but we also expect you to carry your own weight. - Parties and dungeons: Escorts can be provided and there are those within the rank who are willing to do so. We prefer that first you try to garner a group comprised of those close to your own season. However if this is not possible then, as a last resort, asking those of higher season may be done. It is preferred that when possible you give advance notice for such via mail or private request. Remember you are not the only one who has tasks to accomplish. Scheduling when possible will make it easy for all involved to get the aid they need. -Speaking in Public ((General/Trade/Say/Local/Party/Yell)): Be respectful! Once again you are a representive of our guild. Represent yourself and your fellow Stewards in a good light. No foul or vulgar language. Inner Conflicts: The following are steps that should be taken when any conflicts take place between individuals. Also all reprimands and issues will be handled privately. -Approach member. Please approach the member who you have conflict with in a respectful, honest and humble way. Try to the best of your ability to resolve the conflict between one another. - Approach an Officer. If the issue is not resolved or you are not able to approach the member yourself please speak with the an officer. Officers will listen to each side and serve as mediator to try and resolve any issue or issues. - Approach a Lord or Lady. In the event there is still no resolution please approach the Lord or Lady of your race. The Lord or Lady will resolve the conflict in a way that best serves the guild. Which may include but is not limited to: -boundries being set for both parties involved. - demotion -discharge from the guild. -If you have any issues with the way the guild is being run please feel free to speak with the Officers and or Lords/Ladies of your race privately. We are always open to constructive suggestions! *NO abuse or exploitation will be tolerated within or out of the guild.* Outer Conflicts: - No one member can declare another guild, citizen or guild mate an enemy of the Stewards of Azeroth, without first apporaching the Officers and Lords/Ladies. All final decisions are made by the Lords/Ladies of the guild. - Again remember you are a reflection of our guild. Any desputes should be handled in a mature, respectful and honest way. If you are not able to resolve an issue please bring it to the attention of your Officers and Lords as you would an internal conflict. They will act on your behalf in the approriate fashion. **Remember we want you to have fun, and enjoy your role within the Stewards. If you are not pleased contact your Officers or Lords/Ladies. **
Promotions and Interactions: -Promotions can be garnered by interacting with other guild members ((rping)) as well as aiding other guild members and citizens. **Please be aware that each Lord and Lady have different requirments for gaining rank and you may be rquired to prefrom additional tasks to prove your worth. -Protect our lower seasoned and younger members or citizens. We can not hope to help others if we are not willing to help each other. If Horde are laying waste to a town and a citizen requests your aid or Horde members are attacking one of our own and they ask for assistance, more skilled members are expected to lend aid. Protecting future of Azeroth begins today and family takes care of its own.
-OOC- - Guild chat: Firstly this is a role playing guild. For those new to role playing or have limited experince with it, RP= role play and OOC = out of character and RL= real life. - At NO time should there be any OOC in Guild Chat. Any OOC you may have please do via the OOC channel we have established (/stewardsooc) or /tell. This includes questions. Any conversations in guild chat are to be IC only. - Should you use OOC in guild chat there will be a "three strikes your out" rule. The following actions will be taken: -1st strike = Verbal warning -2nd strike= Written warning -3rd strike= Discharge from the guild -/tell can be used for IC conversation or OOC conversation. -when speaking OCC in "tell" please place (( )) around your sentences or in the begining or end place: "ooc-" -Any banter between the races (Draenei, Dwarfs, Gnomes, Humans and Kaldorei) will be strictly RP. No personal RL issues should ever arise. -When speaking IC abbreviations and "smiley faces" are not permitted. If you want to convey an emotion place it in brackets. example: =D = NO ... <smiles broadly> or *smiles broadly* = YES -In General/Trade/Party/Yell: IC is prefered. Remember that we are a roleplaying guild on a role playing server and we should all strive to promote it as such. This being said you may OOC if it is established that you are. We still want to be respectful of those who do not roleplay. -WoW forums: Please conduct yourself in a respectful manner. It is not acceptable to degrade or make fun of anyone in OOC. We can not stress enough respect, respect, respect! For yourself and those you play with.
Stewards Of Azeroth's Code of Conduct. (Page 2)
The Guild and You: -All memebers MUST register at the guild website. Why? This will be your main source of knowledge on what events and issues are being discussed. If you are not registered you may miss out on some activites you may want or need to be a part of. Some exceptions can be made on a case by case situation. -Should you not register within a month of joing the guild the following actions will be taken: -You will receive a Verbal Warning. -You will recieve a Written Warning -You will be promptly Demoted. -Recruitement. Quality versus quanity. The most important thing is that we have comitted active members who have a love for rp and a desire to promote it with in the guild and out. -Any possible recurite will need to speak with an Officer with the rank of Master Sergeant or higher. Prior to joining they should come to the guild site and read our Expectations and Code of Conduct. To ensure that it will be a good fit for all involved. Make sure they understand we ARE a RP guild. -Alts. Alts are permitted within the guild so long as they are not a carbon copy of your main character. They will be marked as an alt in the officer's notes. Alts will not be able to gain ranks higher than Knight. -If for any reason you must take an extended leave of absence you must notify an Officer or Lord via mail or word of mouth that you are taking a leave of absence. -If you fail to do the above and we have not heard from you, you will be discharged from the guild after three month period. We will notify you via in game mail why you were discharged and you will always be welcome to rejoin should you choose. If you held an Officer position however you will not continue to have it. You will need to once again work for any promotion. -Background stories: It is suggested that within a month of joining the guild you post your background story. Again we are RP and should promote it within and without. This is also a good way to help newer rpers learn how to rp and expand on rp knowledge and ideas. ** Please note: That you do not have to write a long or detailed background. After all it is just as fun to find out facts about a character as you interact with them. Also depending on your Lord or Lady you may be required to post a background story. -Trade Skills: Pick something that benefits you and the guild. Please be sure to list your trade skill and rank in it. It is not required but highly suggested. It will be the best way to know who can supply you with the items you need. Please remember to update it as needed. You will need to check it to see what we are in need of. - Attendance to guild events should try and be made. We understand this is not always possible as we all have other RL duties. However if you are in game You Are Expected to Attend Guild Events. We need to support one another and again promote RP. -Be on time for any events or prescheduled raids or meetings! Time is precious. Be respectful of others time as well as your own. Again we do understand that RL happens. Grouping: -The group leader is the leader. They are in charge of directing the party. Listen to your leader and follow there orders within reason. This said choose your party leader carefully. In guild and out. This will allievate any conflicts. - Establish everyones role before starting out on your quest. This allows for a smooth run. - No dropping a group mid-way. Be sure prior to grouping you will be able to stay the whole run. Do not join a party if you can not stay the course. The only exception should be something regarding RL inturruptions or emergencies or in the cases where you have a poor party. In which case such poor parties usually dissove quickly anyway. - Looting: The Stewards want to promote fair game play. In order to do this we must be fair when grouping with one another and other players. We do not need to roll on every single item. Roll on the items you need. Doing this will allow you to be invited to more groups. More groups means access to better loot! - In the interest of the guild, while grouped with guild members, priorty for class specfic items should go to the class it was intended for. If there are more than two of the same class in a party who both need the item then need rolls should be performed. -At NO time is Ninja looting acceptable! ninja looting = looting a chest w/out rolling for it or snatching before party has a chance to assses dropped item. - Don't roll just because. Roll because of need. Know what you are rolling for. - No multiple rolls. It can get confusing and is not considerate. Roll once. Only with party consent should there be multiple rolls. - No looting a chest another person or group has spent time to get. - If another is trying to gain the same chest/item negotiate with them. Roll on the item to see who will get it or come to some other fair agreement. - Do not roll on an item you are not entitled to. Meaning don't roll on an item you can not use without permission. Let the people who do need it get the opportunity to get the item. If you have the item do not roll on it again. Be fair. -Do not change the loot mode without first discussing it with your party. Guild Vault: - At this time Lord Kayln handles the organization of Vault. The Vault is still under construction. Once definate guidelines have been set they will be listed here.
Ishnu-dal-dieb Stewards,
I am currently attempting my hand at cleaning and organizing the Steward's collective vault. I will be selling many items at the local Auction Houses and merchants. Prior to doing this I ask that you please take a look over the next week to see if there is anything you can make use of. This includes everything in the vault on each shelf and room of the vault. ((each tab)) For instance if you have need of any of the Darkmoon Faire playing cards, the professions supplies, any tomes or weapons and armor. Be assured that the coin from the items sold will be deposited directly back into the vault. Perhap in time to fund more space if need as well as pay for any repairs that may be needed in future ventures. Should you have any questions or items that you are unable to obtain please be sure to contact any Officer in regards to it. Talah oso!
Nature's blessings, -Lady Asima'Xylia StormMoon Keeper of the Grove Kaldorei Captain
****New Base of Operations****
Ishnu-dal-dieb Stewards,
After much debate, dispute and delay a base of operations has been decided upon. Due to the interesting at best, places voted upon the Officers, (mainly myself) have taken upon themselves to scout out new areas not listed for our residence. After traveling the whole of Azeroth last night and presenting it with my Dwarf counterpart, Menethil Keep in Menethil Harbor has been choosen. I was able to conduct successful talks with Captain Stoutfist. Per our agreement we will be able to make use of the keep provided we provide support for his troops in times of conflict. This seaport village was choosen because it is not only a neutral area for all to travel to but it is accessible both by air and sea from all major cities. It has various merchants that can supply a multitude of needs from armor to weaponsmiths . There is a near by tavern for fine dinning and drinking. There is fishing and swimming access for the water enthusiast as well. And various events can be held with in the area. Menetil Keep itself houses bunks, a large dining hall, a spacious meeting hall and areas in which training and sparring can be done both inside and out of the keep. For those close to the earth there is plenty of trees and wildlife in the area as well to test your skills on or practice your craft. In short it encompasses all the needs that were specficed. It is an area that all seasons can venture to, an area where training can be done and formal and informal gathering can be held there. I encourage all to go and visit your new home and begin to make use of it. Below you will find some information regarding the seaport and the keep itself. Talah oso to all for their patience durning the polling and at time trying procedure.
May the kal guide you, -Lady StormMoon Keeper of the Grove Kaldorei Captain
Menethil Keep is the fort that dominates the port town of Menethil Harbor. It is currently led by Captain Stoutfist, the commander of the Menethil militia. Besides several guards, it also holds a few additional quest givers and a vendor.
- Population: 12,000
Menethil Harbor is a port town on the western shore of the Wetlands. It has a boat that sails to Auberdine in Darkshore and another that sails to Theramore Isle in Dustwallow Marsh. Both locations are on the continent of Kalimdor. Within the city are many vendors, a First Aid Trainer, the Deepwater Tavern, and a Gryphon Flight Master.
This major port city represents the Alliance presence in the Wetlands. Murlocs and Dragonmaw orcs are a constant threat to its citizens, who are braver and sterner than their kin. Captain Stoutfist, the town's military leader, can be found in Menethil Keep working to repel the Dragonmaw orcs. The captain is particularly concerned because the orcs seem to be preparing for a major assault.
History Menethil Harbor, named after the ruling dynasty of Lordaeron, was originally established at the end of the Second War as the main sea link between Khaz Modan and the kingdoms of Lordaeron, Dalaran, Stromgarde, Gilneas, and Kul Tiras. It is the only stationary Alliance presence in the Wetlands, a small well-fortified city that numbers a little over ten thousand souls. Murloc and pirate incursions are a minor threat.
With the fall of Lordaeron, and the end of the Third War, Menethil Harbor still serves a critical purpose as it serves as the main hub of Alliance naval routes between the old kingdoms of Khaz Modan and Stormwind, and their new allies at Theramore Isle and Auberdine. It is believed that Menethil will be given an additional dock for transportation from the Eastern Kingdoms to Valgarde, the Alliance town in Northrend's Howling Fjord
The Time to Recruit is Upon Us.
The Stewards of Azeroth needs more members. Not just any member, but loyal and active ones. The leaders urge anyone to look for worthy members. (Worthy as in they RP on a normal basis, are kind, and will be a loyal Steward).
