Sinners and Sents Halloween Event!  

We are running a series of events this year for both OSI and Sentinels United. Here is a brief run down of events:

Friday Oct 24 at 8 PM EST:
Hunt Summoned Illusions dressed as a Carnie! No you cannot use the Halloween temp powers! Show us how creative you can be!

Saturday Oct 25 at 8 PM EST:
Hide-n-Seek trivia in Warburg. Come to warburg, find one of our hidden people and "trick or treat" them. We'll ask you a random trivia question in local... if you get it right... you get a treat... if you get it wrong... be prepared to fight! Defeating your hider gets you a surprise

Sunday Oct 26 at 7 PM EST:
Halloween RP... this will take place in coalition chat and all are welcome to join in. Sorry I can't give more details on this.

Monday Oct 27 at 7 PM EST:
Costume Contests! We'll be having 3, and you are all more then welcome to join in all 3.
1) Sinners and Saints: Show us your most sinful or saintly costume!
2) Halloween Critters: We're looking for the best traditional witch, goblin, vampire, mummy, werewolf, ghost we can get!
3) Ripley's Believe it or Not: Most Outrageous! Show us your over the top costumes!
Each contest will have 3 winners, and a few runners up.
1st place: 1 million inf
2nd place: 500,000 inf
3rd place: 250,000 inf
4 Runners up: 100,000 inf each

There y'all go! Hope to see lots of you there!

Prince of Light is on LOA  

((Again a bit late))

A message has gone out from Tigra to all Sentinels that Prince was unexpectedly called back to his homeworld.  He'll return as soon as he can, but we have no ETA.

Message from Tigra  

There's a message on the SU comms from Tigra saying that for personal reasons, she is temporarly stepping down from most duties as co-leader.   For administrative paperwork things, she will continue to fill that role, but for the next few weeks if you need something, see Ian or Jalna if you would normally go to Tigra.

2007 in Review  

A review of much of the Sentinel's activity in 2007 has been posted in the public forums.

Prince of Light Located and recovering  

A notice goes out to the members of the team.  It is very simple... "Ian has been found.  He is safe and recovering.  Robert was right.  If you need that comment explained, talk to me personally." -Tigra

Requiem Destroyed; Prince of Light MIA  

In a battle of epic proportions, Requiem has finally been vanquished.  Ian, however, is MIA...  And there's a little matter of an entire reality that was destroyed in the battle.  Tigra will be calling a meeting shortly to provide details, and asks that the team please be patient and wait until she can speak on the situation at the meeting before jumping to conclusions.

Sentinels Commander KOed.  

In the early hours of November 12th, just after midnight, Ian Cameron aka Prince of Light was teleported to the Sentinels Medbay, by Tigra Swipe, for treatment and recuperation, following a battle with the Nictus villain, Requiem. Tigra is remaining at Ian's side in vigil.

Others involved in the battle were Protocol 9 and Swath. Providing their much appreciated aid were ArchStrike and Liberty Guard of The Justice Guard.

Prince of Light's condition is stable, but bad. Requiem, while injured, remains at large.

Updated 11/13:
Prince of Light is now conscious, but he's acting a bit... odd.  Stoic for the most part, much like Spock.  He's remaining in the base, while Tigra does some footwork.

New Command Structure and Uniform  

A new command structure, minor changes really, is being introduced to the Sentinels United.  Hopefully, this will give a clearer structure to the team as well as give recognition to those who have taken on greater duties within the family.

Prince of Light, aka Ian, remains as Commander-in-Chief of the Sentinels United.  Tigra Swipe / Ebonshard shares equal ranking as a Commander in most situations, but when the line needs be drawn, Prince is Tigra's CO.

Their field commanders remain as before: Protocol 9 and Swath. Stellar Flair, leader of the Young Sentinels, is also considered a field commander of the Sentinels United when needed.

The Council of officers consists of the Commanders and Field Commanders.  Should Prince and Tigra be unavailable, look to the field commanders for direction.

Added to the command structure is a new position, that of Warden.  Those Sentinels who have taken on additional levels of responsibility within the team will be recognized with this rank.  At this time, the following Sentinels are hereby promoted to Warden:
Jalna Pine, as the new Young Sentinel liaison within the Sentinels United
Dr. Rani Patel, as the chief medical officer.
Rally Girl, as self defense instructor
Kid Tantrum of the Young Sentinels, as Stellar Flair's second in command
Col. Vic Morgan, in recognition of his position as leader of the Solar Guard

In the unlikely event that all of the Council is unable to lead, responsibility falls to the Wardens.

In addition, to maintain the theme of guardians and sentinels, new additions to the Sentinels United will be known as Sentries.

Also, we have developed a suggested team uniform.  Serge in Steel Canyon, Lauren in Independence Port, and Carson in Founder's Falls all have the plans for the uniform and can help you set it up if you wish to sport the Sentinels uniform.  For comfort, select the gloves (in gold), boots (in white), and belt (in brown and gold) that work the best for you.  Cape is optional as well.

All blue: row 11, 2
All gold: sg gold, or row 5, column 8 or 9
Black: row 1, column 1
White: row 1, column 9 or 10
Grey: row 1, column 2

Top: Tight, tights, blended diamond pattern.  Top portion is in blue, bottom in black.
Chest decoration: star 6.  Circle in white, star in gold
Gloves: User preference, in gold.  Ian was wearing wristbands, Tigra was wearing smooth / banded.
Belt: User preference, in brown and/or gold
Bottoms: Tight, tights, blend.  Upper portion in black, bottom portion in grey
Boots: user preference, in white.  Ian was wearing folded, Tigra was wearing flat matte.
Cape: optional, all choices user preference.  Colors: outer cape, blue, inner cape, gold.

Movie Night and Book Club  

In an effort to get to know each other outside of heroing, and in an attempt to educate Tigra (and a few others) in the pop culture references that so often go over her head, the Sentinels will be holding an occasional movie night and will be starting up a book club.  For details on the movie night, see Torchlight.  For the book club, see Swath.  Dates and movie or books will be posted here when decided.  These are open to both Sentinels and Young Sentinels.

((On an OOC level, my thought is that we can have both on and off-camera movie nights and book club meetings.  Off-camera to address the issue of that nasty RL getting in the way of being able to write our toons' lives in full and to allow players with RL conflicts who still want to have their toons get to know and be known to some degree to the others able to 'participate', on-camera to really play it out.))

 

Regarding the cats in the SU and YS HQ  

Please do not remove the cats from the Sentinel HQ until such time as we can determine where they are coming from and whether they are normal cats or have 'tribble DNA'.  Our crew is working to identify those that are safe to re-home verses those that are a little suspicious.

And if anyone finds out who Mary Mayhem is, deliver this message... or Mary if you're reading this... -we will find you-.  And you'd better have a good excuse for pulling these pranks.
