Welcome to Phoenix Rising! (Thrall)
This is a guild that believes that a guild can be both end game productive and still have that closeness that comes from smaller guilds.
We are a very selective guild. If you have been asked to join you SHOULD feel honored. This means you have already displayed some of the high qualities we look for in gamers!
If you are interested in joining our guild, please leave us a message in our public forum or contact a member. We feel it is best to do some questing/instancing with a member before offering to add anyone to the guild.
Progression . . . Progression
It's May and PR has been tearing up the progression track over the past couple of months! PR up'ed the number of groups running through Kara to 3 in late March. This helped to allow many upgrades in a short period of time so 25 man raids could be assembled whenever the numbers were available.
In the past month, PR has successfully cleared Gruuls a number of times and has set it's sights on Mags and SSC!
PR has also acquired may new members during the last month and are very happy to be expanding the PR family. Once again, great work everyone and grats on all the ups!

Well this has been a busy week for Phoenix Rising! We have managed to clear kara of ALL bosses and take down the first boss in gruul's lair. Just wanted to say congrats all and lets keep the good work going!

Hey all happy New Year! Just wanted to give a quick run down of were PR stands heading into a new year.
Another year has past and our guild has once again has grown stronger. Thank you all for the wonderful job you guys have done on recruiting. We have 2 full time Kara groups going now and we still have people who we need to squeeze in. Speaking of Kara. Both groups have been able to down Prince now. I truly believe that we are to the point were he will be a common kill for us and everyone can start to collect some more T4 goodies. So grats to both groups and all the extras that rotate thru on a regular basis.
Last weekend (12/30/07) we attempted the 1st boss in ZA. We were not able to get him down (41%) was our best attempt. We are close to getting him down but we plan on putting ZA on hold for a bit and move our focus to more kara and heroic/badges ups.
As you have most likely noticed on the website there is a poll on visiting Gruuls later on in this month. This is also an attempt to see where we stand as a guild. Please keep in mind the Gruul's in general is a 1 day raid, only 2 bosses and very few trash pulls so throwing Gruul's lair in our raid rotation will not effect our current kara raid setup. We would still have our normal Kara runs as scheduled. For those who are not aware it is also a 25 man raid. 25 of us on raid chat oh what a scary thought
.
In closing just wanted to say thanks for everyones hard work that they have put into this guild. I see great things for PR in 2008 and hope to share in the joy of killing some more raid bosses with you all. Happy New once again and have a great 2008.
See ya all in game.

Here's the latest on
Kara for the patch week starting
December 4th:
Groups 1 and 2 may be possibly combining into one group this week for a variety of reasons - for example lack of enough players / classes available all at the same time to make two separate runs successfully, hectic holiday schedules & ww- www- work (don't shoot me for saying it), and other "real life" goings-on, etc.)
No fault, no foul: Simply put, the most gain this week could come from as many rotations of keyed players as possible through a single group sharing the runs through bosses. Of course, as always, if the core of Group 2 can also run / rotate players through the boss fights for gear, reputation and
FUN, that would be awesome. Everyone will be pleased to see 20 folks on any given day or night in Kara rather than only 10.
Every boss down means more badges, epic opporunity and hurrahs! Tuesday's first crack at Kara was a blast this week! Attumen dropped uber-squishie, which could only mean Lilabug and Rkitty had equal or better leather - oo la la! There were a few upgrades, a random purple belt with +fire dmg for Ingwe's non-ice mage moments, grats to Adella on the curator's staff, and the Mongoose enchant from Moroes that the other enchanters must swear I ninja-hacked!

If only I were that computer savvy!

I'm certain there's more to come.
Thanks to everyone for your time and devotion to building such a strong guild!
Without each other, we would be lost.
Kara updates

Here's the latest on Kara progression for the patch week starting November 13th:
Group 1 has taken down the Shade of Aran, Illhoof and may be tackling Netherspite and/or Prince Sunday evening. Group 2 succeeded through Maiden & Opera (if Wis's memory isn't completely unreliable). This is one very frustrating (but beneficial) instance! Every fight has to be done "just so" and everyone needs to have read up on how to do their toon's role in the fight. I just wanted to update this board some and say again how proud I am that we have a guild that is making end-game instancing a reality while maintaining the closeness that only comes from a small guild. You make this guild awesome!
Kara take # 3
Hello my fellow guildies,
Just wanted to update everyone on how Kara went last Saturday. We were able to take down 2 bosses and came close to # 3 before people started to fall asleep at the wheel. This was a big improvement over attempt # 1 and it goes to show you we are only getting better. Thanks to all those who attended and sorry to those who were left out. It is good to see such a good turnout for the raid events. I know Pre-BC we attempted ZG a few times but really never had it on farm status. It goes to show you how far we have come as a guild. Thanks to those who stuck around and didn't jump ship when we didn't jump into endgame raiding right away. Just a big thanks for everyone and your hard work.

Quick Reminder,
There is another Kara run planned for this Weekend. The time as of now is Saturday at 7PM Server time. Please sign up in the Event Calender and in the Plan Destruction Forum as well. I would also advise reading up on how the 1st boss fight goes. (Midnight and the Hunter) Wowkiki has some good ideas as well there is some things posted on him on our forums. So if you plan on attending now is a good time to stock up on pots and food. Those of us who went last Saturday were able to get some good information on Kara. I hope to see you all there Saturday.

Phoenix Rising is now ready for Kara
Just a quick note.
As of 6/20/07 we have around 13 members attuned for kara. Just wanted to thank everyone for there hard work in getting the guild attuned. For those of you who are not attuned we havnt forgotten about you. Lore has our first attempt planned for Saturday 6/23 at 7pm server time. There is also some very nice boss strats (thank you Aeorina) located in the forums (under general discussions) so please check them out and read them. Once again wanted to thank everyone who helped getting the key fragments. I hope to see everyone ready to go on saturday.
Thanks
Siv
Just as a reminder to some people who may not know or sometimes forget to check. If you click on the Event tab on the side of the website Lore has added certain weekends where we will be planning on doing high end instance raids and other weekends where we will be helping guildies gear up and get to 60. Just click on the link we have setup and if u are available to help during that week or would like to plan a raid please sign up so we know who. Once we have enough ppl we can figure out what we would like to do. Please don't forget to use this tool as well. I know how hard it is to get 20 ppl on at the same time so hopefully by using the events calender and planned destruction forum will help us become more organized on our raiding.
