An “honest businessman’s” association operating out of Torton Park, on scenic Rori, the Omega Syndicate is currently accepting applications for membership from prospectives of any species and faction who are not afraid to find “creative ways” to make a profit.
The ideal candidates would have backgrounds in resource re-allocation, information acquisition and exchange, personnel coordination and leadership, heavy munitions expertise and deployment, tracking of wanted or missing persons, and battlefield medicine and triage. Trade-beings, merchants, and entertainers of all types are also welcome to submit their resume to help form a center of unparalleled commerce and opportunity. Applicants must be fluent in Galactic Basic, except where species limitations prohibit, in which case an understanding of Basic is the only requirement. A general understanding of Huttese is also encouraged but not necessary.
Piloting skills of any level are a necessity, preferably with connections to the Karrde regime based on Tattooine, however a limited number of positions are open for pilots who have received training from various government flight schools if their loyalties to the Syndicate can be unquestionably demonstrated. Applicants must be multi-skilled and willing to be part of a “shipping” crew aboard any of the Syndicate’s state-of-the-art fleet.
Benefits for Syndicate members include:
- A small, close-knit community of serious, mature Galactic citizens. The Omega Syndicate’s goals are to promote fellowship and offer exciting opportunities to those sentients who seek to make an “honest” living in a Galaxy torn by civil war. The Syndicate takes no official stance in the current conflict, however looks for opportunities for profit on both sides during these troubled times. We sympathize with both the need to develop and control an unassailable power base, yet we also recognize the essential need to protect life, freedom of choice and movement, thus protecting free and unfettered commerce.
-
Citizenship with our host city, Torton Park, a beautiful community in the heart of Rori's Asworal Glades. Amenities at Torton Park include easy access from Narmle via shuttleport, banking facilities, mission terminals, and the Galaxy-renowned ChAoS 99 Casino.
- A network of Syndicate contacts, connecting you with commerce, entertainment, and protection services suited to any need. Individuals from all walks of life come together to strengthen our community, while at the same time our community strengthens us as individuals and helps ensure our freedom to profit.
- Lucrative space endeavors on any of the Syndicate’s elite fleet, which includes the latest in space-faring technology from Soro-Suub, as well as the finest shipping craft of Corellian design. Also, those who have their own small vessels can enlist in Omega Squadron and enjoy the protection that our talented wingmen can provide.
- A private, underground Galactic comm channel, exclusively for use by Syndicate members, lets you bypass the mainstream Holonet and puts you in immediate, un-slicable contact with the Syndicate’s network.
If you are interested in applying for membership in the Omega Syndicate:
Please review our membership process here, and then send a secured mail to Wolfram Tarant or Drige Thosto. Requests should include your qualifications and as much of your story as is fit to publish via public channels. Other details should be left to a more secured forum.
Applications will be reviewed promptly, and interviews will be conducted by Omega Syndicate officials.

The search begins........now!
Tuesday, April 01, 2008 2:53 AM - submitted by Drige
Attention to all members of the Syndicate!
Beginning now, it is requested that all available members begin to search for a new city location. This search will continue through next wednesday the 9th @ 12:00 midnight EST. The planets that are considered available for settling are Rori, Naboo, Tatooine, Corellia, and Talus. Please keep in mind that the areas should be as flat as possible and without existing homes within a 400-450 meter radius. Also bear in mind that cities cannot be built too close to POI's. This search will be open only to current members. Each location should include the finder's name, planet/moon, waypoint, and nearest shuttleport/starport. Previous locations should be re-submitted and there is no limit to how many you may submit. Post your locales in the ' Location entries ' thread in the private forums.
It has been commissioned that a finder's prize will be implemented to reward those that have put forth the effort and thoughtful consideration for our new home. The rewards will be as follows: The locations will be narrowed down to three choices. Those locales will be worth 250,000 each. The officers will then vote on which will serve our needs, etc the best. Once a location is finalized, the member that discovered it will be awarded a finder's prize of 1,000,000 credits. Good luck!
The process for the search and planning of the city will span approximately the next two weeks. This will be a busy time for all of us because it will require all of our efforts and commitment. Two weeks is not a long time and this is for our future. There will be events scheduled to raise the funds required to begin and sustain our new home. Please watch the calendar for upcoming events and make yourselves available.
Here's to us, OmSyn!!
The graveyard shift had a brief encounter with an old associate of the Syndicate last night. Our old colleague, Eslim' O'Nassi, paid Drige Thosto and J'Axor Khaal a visit in Torton Park with some news as to the whereabouts of himself and one of our old board members. He informed the two that he had been away trying to locate Mahrs Delvin, another employee of the Syndicate that had gone underground. Through many misadventures and wild bantha chases, O'Nassi told them he had finally stumbled upon a clue that led him to believe that Delvin was still alive...
The artifact received was a small bracelet. It was found on the obscure planet of Dathomir, located in the Quelii Sector. It had a small inscription that identified it as a piece of jewelry the Witches of Dathomir adorn their slaves with. It is possible that Mahrs has been imprisoned by them and is at one of their forced labor camps.
The Omega Syndicate must act quickly and mount a rescue mission as soon as possible if we hope to find him alive.
System reboot complete........

This is an emergency broadcast to all Syndicate members and allies. Avoid Torton Park at all costs. I repeat....avoid Torton Park at all costs.
At approximately 2300 hours, after perfecting modifications to their weapons and armor, Ozett and Anag were led by HK to the northwest shoreline of Torton Park. There they were assaulted by a small force of battle droids and were able to defeat them handily. It was soon discovered that this was merely the first wave as successive batallions emerged. A distress signal was sent immediately and was answered by Wolfram. J'axor was on assignment and unable to respond at that time. The three were able to hold the shore, though victory was short lived. Reconnaisance revealed a massive invasion force waiting on the opposite side of the lake with Imperial support. While infiltrating the compound both Ozett and Hammer were critically wounded. Wolfram and Anag were able to retrieve them and slip away back to the city.
Once Hammer and Ozett were stabilized in the medical facility Wolfram and Anag were joined by Velak. A brief attempt was made at reaching City Hall but was thwarted by an already present droid force. A futile attempt to draw the force away from City Hall failed. Retreat was inevitable.......
Upon reaching Starfire Sanctuary, OmSyn's secondary command outpost, Hammer launched into orbit of Rori and called upon the Imperials for answers. They replied they had no knowledge of any orders to help any established droid army. Hammer was able to persuade the present Imperial fleet to intercept and/ or destroy any remaining droid vessels currently in orbit or entering our sector. That turned out to be the one success of the night. With temporary static defenses in place, the remaining staff set up headquarters and Wolfram began to detail plans of action. He ordered a cautionary statement to be transmitted to all Syndicate members and affilliates and authorized a risky move to transfer main power from Torton Park to Starfire Sanctuary. Given the go ahead, Drige managed to infiltrate City Hall and reach the mainframe. While transferring all available power and disabling Torton's defenses he was confronted briefly by HK. A short exchange ensued and Drige was able to stun the droid just long enough to make an escape. The transfer did not stand. HK was able to regain main power in a matter of moments.
The situation is now considered critical. The Syndicate is safe, for now, at Starfire Sanctuary. The officers are deep into planning a counter offensive to retake Torton Park. All members are cautioned to keep low profiles for the foreseeable future. We have no control of our own city. Occupation must be accepted until we can gather the full strength of the Syndicate and our allies. We are cut off from supplies and stockpiles in Torton Park. Efforts are under way from our allies to stock Starfire Sanctuary, but progress is slow, at best, as not to draw attention to this location. It is a dark time for the Syndicate. Never again will we ignore threats as being merely idle chatter. We were caught off guard and our members were spread too thinly throughout the galaxy. HK was more organized than we assumed. But make no mistake....Torton Park will be ours again!
All citizens still within T,,,o,,, P...k are ca..i..d....

Last night saw the inductions of two new recruits to the Omega Syndicate: Skyrian Aktek and Sennida Vektar. Both will be assisting the Syndicate for a probational period of time. Hopefully after their probation, we will accept them to be full-fledged members.
We were also informed of an old accomplice to Drige Thosto. Thosto pointed him out as the "Hammer". We briefly met with him and immediately took a liking. Seeing as Thosto had a long history with him, it was safe to say that the "Hammer" was very trustworthy. His alignment with the Empire can prove to be an advantage to the Syndicate. He will most certainly help in our efforts to keep us under the radar.
Please take the initiative in welcoming them into our family. All are specialist in a certain profession and we look forward to putting their skills to the test.
Starting at 22:30 this evening the landscape of Torton Park lit up like a battlefield! I suppose you could say that's precisely what it became. Warriors, scoundrels, medics, Force users, bounty hunters, and beasts descended into our town with one thing in mind......Fight Night! Each combatant looking to earn a bit of cash and notoriety. That would prove to be a tall order to fill with the likes of such notable professionals as Tyree Starbuck, Ezmodius Vandraculya, Flayre Dopian, Taynius Hart, Ecco Mizuko, Wolfram Tarant, Reifa Tokah, Faror, Faror, Moti Ofio, Villo Hart, and yours truly. The action took place in the form of 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 4 vs 4 and so on. In the end though, it was Tyree, Ezmodius, and Ecco edging Taynius, Drige, and Wolfram for the win. Each of those fine combatants received a small prize to whet their appetite for next week. We regret to say that the grand prize was unable to be given due to not having 16 contestants. Perhaps next week will be the time.........We certainly look forward to it! Thank you to all who came and it is our sincere hope that everyone had a fun time.
We obviously must try to keep these events from reaching the ears of the Empire. Before the festivities began a small garrison of Stormtroopers landed and tried to put an end to the night. Needless to say, they were ousted quickly and the bodies disposed of as usual. However, the Empire will no doubt wonder why the Lamda shuttle malfunctioned on take off and incinerated in the atmosphere of Rori.
The Chairman of the Syndicate would like to inform its employees that he has recently met with our former leader, Chron Dotara. The meeting took place casually in the Mos Eisley Cantina. They were later joined by another member of the Syndicate.
After catching up and swapping stories of their recent adventures, they went on to discuss pressing matters that are affecting the corporation. One of these being the sudden appearances and contacts from Captain Starfire. As we all know, the Captain left us awhile back to reside in the harsh environments of Tatooine, living as a hermit. Dotara dismissed these speculations to be nothing more than a trap. But from who? We don't know. He has reason to believe that Captain Starfire is long gone and is now a part of the Netherworld of the Force. Chairman Tarant refused to believe this and decided to form a search party into the Tatooine wilderness, lead by Drige Thosto. He believes that Thosto's connection to the Force may help in pinpointing Starfires location.
Mr. Tarant would like anyone interested in joining our efforts to locate the Captain to contact him as soon as possible. Once we have assembled enough individuals, the Chairman will call a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the search party.
As for Dotara, he did not make it clear if he'll rejoin the Syndicate, but he did not leave that option entirely out. I guess we can all say early retirement is out of the question.
The Omega Syndicate's Fresh Faces
This past week has been chalk full of activity for Syndicate employees. As you have all read in our private holonet, and those who personally participated in this toil, Torton Park and its surrounding areas are free from any mercenaries roaming around...for the time being.
But this week hasn't been dedicated completely to "corporal" labor. This week has shown growth in our organization. We have processed many applications submitted for employment, and as most of you have noticed, there are a few new faces around Torton Park.
Please welcome Sholano Teft, Swil Ja'Me, and Asifab Lightstar to our company.
We are very fortunate to have these individuals join our efforts to promote this company and to secure our "freedom to profit".
The Omega Syndicate Flexes It's Muscle
After a brief intelligence meeting held in the smugglers den last night it was voted upon and approved that the Syndicate would move to action regarding the former employer of Janko' Teft, one Pluuvo two-for-one. Apart from the refusal of Pluuvo to release Janko' of his purported remaining time left in his contract, there are other circumstances which lend to suspician the involvement of said Pluuvo two-for-one. Those are as follows....the disappearance of our former Chairman Chron Dotara, the unexplained absence of Predis Riis, after a brief communication to Velt, and the knowledge gained by J'axor, after following up on a tip given to him by Drige, that we are being watched. It was decided that the Syndicate would sit idle no longer. We would send a clear and distinct message and discover what truth could be found relating to the afforementioned.
At approximately 20:30 last night two strike teams were formed consisting of Wolfram, Arkaer, Janko', Velt, J'axor, Drige, Kezra, Zo'tannath, Mahrs, and Hars. The teams set out to hit the camps that were reported to J'axor in the outlying areas of Torton Park. With precision and relentlessness these teams made short work of Pluuvo's subhordinates. One by one the camps fell in the same way.....quiet, unstirred night suddenly exploding into mass chaos for them as the teams converged on their positions. We were able to use the element of surprise to disorient and quickly contain each camp. No mercy was shown and no quarter given. None were left alive at the positions raided and finally, a stroke of luck. Janko' was able to intimidate a near death guard into revealing some evidence before ending his misery with one blaster shot to the head. A small mouse droid was recovered that may hold clues to our questions. However, it seems to be malfunctioning and will be transferred to J'hett for further evaluation. We can only hope that his skills can repair and retrieve whatever secrets lie within. It is assumable that we should be on alert for retaliation at this point. The militia, as well as all members of the Syndicate should be on high alert at this point. Pluuvo will be none too happy hearing that his camps were destroyed by 'nomads' looking for loot to be sold on the black market. At least that is what he will read along with the rest of the galaxy...... It can be assumed he will not believe that.
The Syndicate has shown that we are able to discuss terms diplomatically and prefer that means to an end. However, when those negotiations are stained by deceit and foul play, we excel at those terms as well. Let it be noted and known within the Syndicate that we will not stand for trickery in our dealings with others and are more than capable of turning the tables. To the strike teams that so precisely dismantled the outlying camps.....excellent job! Your efforts have served the Syndicate well.
"Industrial Logistics Chief"position postponed
The Syndicate had originally planned for the addition of a fifth officer in charge of the organization's trafficking, retailing, and stocking of all imports and exports produced by its merchants.
It has been decided by Chairman Wolfram Tarant that this position will not be needed at this time. Instead he proposes all Omega Syndicate artisans to continue mastering their trades and setting up clientele until the need for a supervisor comes.
It has also been concluded that each member should participate in compiling an extensive and detailed list of every resource they come about throughout the galaxy. They should record their findings in the Commerce section of the Holonet. Please include date of discovery, location, resource type, and stats.
