Elysiel-Lothar The Nexus 12/11/2008 12:31:27 AM I must have done it with PuG groups, but I've been to Nexus a few times now, and only just realized that Kaly hasn't.  So last night, for our regular dungeon run, we took a trip there.  Just before we fought the end boss, I noticed the opportunity for a great screenshot, which you can see below. This shot pretty much just shows some of our regulars, Kaly, me, Andaa; as well as our guild-leader and one more that we PuG'd to fill up the group. Hmm... we're going to have to do something about getting more people involved than just our 'regulars'.

Elysiel-Lothar Another Day, Another Dungeon 12/3/2008 8:27:00 PM Not really much to report this time, just a new screenshot from another UK run

Elysiel-Lothar Utgarde Keep 12/2/2008 12:28:43 AM Well, I actually have a few things to let you know about this time. Last night we did our first Northrend dungeon.  A few of the boss fights took a couple tries, but it went pretty well for a first try. In case you missed it, I didn't catch the flash this time either,but you can still see the achievement that popped up when I turned 70 in Utgarde. I was a bit slow posting this, so there's other news too.  We tried out another tank tonight.  Utgarde has one boss where they strongly suggest having two healers, so Kaly was there on her priest for backup because Andaa couldn't come.  So, instead of Kaly being the tank there, we used Agrivar in that role. On an side note, we've been having a lot of the same people come out every night, which is kinda nice because we get to know each other's moves and abilities.  On the other hand, it means that there's a lot of you in the guild who aren't sharing the experience and team building.  If we're going to do raids when we get to lvl80, then we'll need a lot more than just a couple healers and tanks. In the meantime, I'll keep you posted.

Elysiel-Lothar Shattered Halls 11/30/2008 4:15:43 PM Now that we're both past 68, we were able to open the doors to the last instance in hellfire citadel, Shattered Halls. It was a pretty simple run, except for this one room where we found out, if you don't pull the mobs in a certain order, they all aggro and you have to fight 20~30 at a time  :( I was hoping to catch the actual flash on a screen capture, but I missed it.  So instead, you get a screen cap of us fighting shortly after Kaly turned lvl 70.

Elysiel-Lothar Ely goes to Northrend 11/26/2008 11:21:56 PM I know this journal is supposed to be for our regular(ish) dungeon runs, but I just wanted to mention a milestone... lvl68 and a trip to Howling Fjord. While I was there tonight, I picked up a sick new mace, and spent a whopping 16min, 26sec fighting a single mob while trying to get my weapon skill up... not sure why since I'm a wussy healer. Hmm... I guess this means that the "Kaly dings 70" entry can't be too far off.

Elysiel-Lothar And without a phone-booth 11/25/2008 5:50:47 AM Last night, we did Kaly's first trip to the Caverns of Time.  Compared to the Auch instances we've been doing, this was a piece of cake.  No fear, no problems.  The only hiccup was Andaa, cause we didn't realize the instance wouldn't let her in at 65, so we're going back tonight now that she's 66.  Here's a group shot of that first run with the people who could make it: Kaly, me, Zimia, Stormshatter.  Andrie came from outside the guild.. I think we got him from LFG chat. Update... the second run was even easier than the first... Andaa main-healing, and me doing DPS in kitty form.

Elysiel-Lothar The Adventures of Kaly and Ely 11/21/2008 11:37:53 PM Welcome, guildies... Just a little blog to chronicle the adventures of our local Tank/Healer team... I'll start by just introducing us... My story isn't all that interesting... I was a boomkin, but spent so much time healing, and I was kinda good at it... so when i got to outland I respec'd to restoration, and decided to just PuG dungeons all day. Kaly was a ret-pally until somewhere in her 50's, when I talked her into trying her hand at being a tank.  It took her a little while to get the hang of it.  Here's a screenshot of our first dungeon with Kaly as a tank... Stratholme, the day she got the pally charger. Fast-forward a few weeks to yesterday... Mana Tombs.  With a few hints from an old friend and some practice, Kaly's been getting a lot better. I don't really have much more to say, so I'll close that right here...
