Annoucements for those who have merged with IcEnders  

Everyone who has come over, please make sure that you take care of the following things as soon as you can:

* Download vent and set it up for their server (instructions in their guild info).  They rely on vent, and it is required for raiding.

* Update Omen.  It is required for raiding.

* Download the mode Guild Event Manager 2.3.  You'll need it to sign up for events.

* Register on the boss killers website (I have to do this myself).

I want us to move to full compliance with their requirements ASAP.

The following issues are on my to do list: (1) making a website for IcEnders; and (2) dealing with the Mac codec issue on their vent.

Beginning 5/23, we're going to continue with KLA's traditional Friday, 9pm ST Kara run, but as their Kara group 3.  Until then, just pop into which ever of their groups needs you.

Tonight, Gruul's is at 8pm ST.  ZA is Friday night.  This is info is on their Guild Event Manager.

OC and I are officers over there, and I believe Relv has invite privileges too.  Those of you who want to come over should contact us for an invite.  Please come!  When you get there, contact one of us for an informational orientation meeting, after which we can bump you up a rank or two.

I think that about does it.  All in all, the merger has gone smoothly, and it looks promising.  When Calli and I log Thursday night, we'll be on vacation till 5/16 or 5/17, and out of touch.

Merger News  

Kittens,

I'm going to be speaking with IcEnders' officers tonight on their ventrilo server to finalize plans for the merger.  If any of our officers wish to participate, too, they should feel free.

The issues I wish to see resolved are:

* How many officer spots we're going to be getting over there, and who will fill them.

* Space needs to be made for our few remaining non-70s.  Technically, they are a 70s-only guild, but I know they make exceptions.

* What exactly are their requirements concerning vent and mods.  I will expect anyone coming over to comply in full with these requirements.  I believe they require vent, Guild Event Manager, and Omen, but I need to confirm that.

I don't anticipate any particular problems with these issues.  Let me know if you can think of any others.

Once these issues are resolved, I'm going to quit our guild, move over there, and start inviting people.  That could happen tonight.  My goal is to get the bulk of this work done before I log Thursday, as I'll be offline for about a week, and I don't want to see the issue fester.

Kara 2 Steps Up!  

We officially have fielded two teams in Kara!

Saturday Kara busted a few Kara cherries is style. FIrst time in were Thorp (MT), Kalock (OT), Jefahl (OT heal), and Fritzmeister (dps). Grats on the rep guys!

Kara 2 downed Attumen on second attempt, Moroes on their first (after a game glitch), and was able to get Maiden down to 30% and 34% on two tries.

Appropriately enough, tank and healer gear dropped :)

Thanks go out to Rel, who came with Ardron (MT heal) and did the majority of the marking, and Martaliza, who was able to come and top dps.

Daranis, Circe, and Deaconn (who topped healing with a new respec) were also instrumental in the run's success.

A "Well Done Run" to all !

Two Groups into Kara  

If at all possible, I'd like everyone to get signed up in the Friday and Saturday Kara groups.

As a guild, we need to exert ourselves to make the second group happen.  There are lots of open spots for the second Kara on Saturday.  Who can be there?

4th Rule: Only two sides to a fight--us and the losing side.

5th Rule: Only one fight at a time.  All of us on one of them.

6th Rule: Kittens first play with their prey.

7th Rule: Fights will go on as long as they have to, which won't be very long.

8th Rule: If this is your first night at Fight Club then you have to fight.  If this is your second night at Fight Club, then you have to fight, etc.

OK, everyone, level up a level 19 horde-side twink, and get that toon into our Horde-side guild, Grim Kittens (Salandria and Uriel have invite privileges).  Since Mondays are often slow, we re' going to start running pre-made WSG, for a little PVP fun.  OC is our Battlemaster.  :)

The Latest Craze  

Before you go all crazy about this new site that is going around (http://be.imba.hu), please remember: it is JUST a tool - it's only as useful as the person weilding it.
The numbers it has is not the be all - end all. It does not guarantee you a spot in a zone you have no business being in. It is, however, VERY helpful for double checking your enchants & your gems (I found out I forgot to enchant my helm, for example). It can suggest when a talent you have may not be the most appropriate.

That being said...CHECK YOUR ENCHANTS!!! If it's worth wearing, it's worth enchanting. Go to your armory page (http://www.wowarmory.com/ ), have a glance at what your upgrades are and if it would be easy or difficult to get (http://wowhead.com ). If your upgrade is probably a few weeks off b/c of rep or raid, enchant your current one! Ask enchanters in guild to DE your greens you loot, so farm some cash and buy some mats, whatnot, but be active in your character's development.
 
If you have any questions, ask an officer. We love it when people want to improve. We will not be doing all the work for you.

Congratulations, Casiphia and Relvinian !  

Our Raid Leader Lighthome has departed for the purply pastures of SSC/TK.

While we thank him for his months of effort in bringing us to the brink of ZA (a little past, actually), his position as Raid Leader will be taken (yanked, grabbed, cuddled up to) by Casiphia.

To assist further in the Leadership of the Guild, Relvinian has accepted a promotion to Senior Officer as Kitten Herder. Since we also promoted a couple of dpsers to Rel's old rank of Kitten Commissar, this will continue to allow Relvinian to gkick any who dare to aspire to his rightful place at the top of the dps charts.

To quote old " Dead and Frosty" himself: "I will defend to the death (up to 6 times on a Kara farm clear if necessary) my right to out-threat ANYBODY. Anywhere (I prefer the AoE steps). Anytime (30 minutes into hourlong elixirs and reagent buffs, max)."

Along the same line... we need a guild Jeweler. Please post in professions tab if you got one.
