What is In Arduis Fidelius? We are a Player Association in the MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. We are solely based in the Realm of Albion. The name translates to Steadfast In Adversity. We are a role playing guild, on a role playing server, and require our members to participate in this aspect of the game.
What is the purpose of IAF? Our purpose is to have fun. We are building a guild that hopefully adds another level of enjoyment to the game for its members, and gives them a place to call "home". We believe that our method of role play and the structure of the guild will accomplish this purpose.
What are the values of IAF? We value diversity, intelligence, integrity, friendship, loyalty and honor in our membership. We believe in supporting each other as members. We value a great experience and enduring character over being the "uber" guild.
How does someone become a member of IAF? We intentionally limit our number of invitees. We want quality more than quantity. Our members recommend to the officers people for admittance. Once the prospective member has been given a basic understanding of the guild, they are invited by an officer and inducted at a recruit level. Some kind of ceremony may be involved.
What is expected of members? First and foremost, to have FUN! We expect our members to group together as frequently as possible, attend guild meetings, register at this forum, and post on the forums. We also expect our members to represent the guild in an honorable fashion. We want to be worthy of admiration for our standards and abilities.
IAF to be disbanded within three weeks....
Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Hearth,
It is with great sadness that I announce the parting of the ways. For the good of all, the guild will be disbanding within three weeks. It is a hard thing for me to do, but I think it will work out in the long run for benefit of all of us.
The thing is, with the changes that are coming to guild structure/benefits and the new servers going live, the times they are a-changing. Only time will tell if Mythic has made the right decision. I hope they have, because I love the game, and intend to stay on in it. However, small guilds will now be going by the wayside, and many many of our friends will be moving to the new servers and not coming back, or if they do, it will be quite awhile. So, I just think it is time to call it a day on trying to have a quality small guild.
Nydyma and myself will be moving to Majesty, and we hope that all of you will join us there. We intend to continue to roleplay, even though that is not the focus of the Majesty guild. We chose Majesty because of Tugmug/Tankaden and many others who already reside there. We wanted to have a solid group to go to, without going to the largest guild on the server, and we have found that with them.
I want to thank all who have been a part of In Arduis Fidelius for the good times. I intend to leave this site up for a while as an homage. We had some really excellent times, and hopefully, the bad will be forgotten. Well, most of it anyway ::wink:: Please stay in touch! There are many more adventures ahead for all of us...
With my heartfelt thanks for your friendships and loyalty, Nolarita Aurelius, Consul, Materfamilias, In Arduis Fidelius
Please head over to the Camelot Herald and read the parchment regarding the upcoming guild changes. Until we know what level our guild will rate at with the changes, there is no need to worry over the proposed quild tax.
Also, please be aware that the Ghod's rating system in no way interferes with our rating system, as of yet. Remember, our point system is mainly concerned with "the old ways" we try to follow after your initial levels are taken into account. ((I must say I do find their line of thinking......derivative ::smiles::.))
Should we need to adjust our ranking system with the further changes coming, we will.
Thank you for your continued allegience to the House of Aurelius.
I remain your sister of the hearth and...
Nolarita Aurelius, Master Theurgist-ML3-RR2 Materfamilias of the House of Aurelius IN ARDUIS FIDELIUS
IAF joins in alliance with Divine Alliance
We are pleased to announce that the alliance has been formed with Divine Alliance. Please be on the lookout for other houses that follow the old ways, and let GP Nydyma, Alliance Liason Officer, know of them. The more we have of like minds, the greater the benefit to all. In the following magical parchment, Leokai is witness to the historic moment.
Nydyma Aviusum, Maiablossom DeAurelius & Gwinith attend DA meeting
At the request of Arcanex, members of IAF briefly attended the Divine Alliance Meeting held yesterday at their guild house in Falkirk. GP Nydyma, in her role as Alliance Liason for the House of Aurelius, discussed with Arcanex the possiblity of alliance between our two houses. Her report on the event will follow. Here is a magical portrait of the event.

As Nolarita, the Lady herself, has previously mentioned I was unfortunately under a heavy sleep spell for some time. However, I have been given a vision from God that reaffirms my faith! The wretched beings that infest our lands are slowly being pushed back, and soon we will regain the land that is God's own!
My own part in this Glorious mission is small, but I have embarked upon it with a willing spirit. Today I met with a guild that is like in mind to our's, they fight with a will to rid our land of the terrible scourge that is evil. The members of the Nova Militia Templaris whole heartedly embraced me, allowing me to accompany them as they slaughtered many Taur in their cesspit of a home! I heartily recommend them to any interested in finding more like minded people to adventure with.
As for my brother, it seems that he has changed guilds, and is now a member of Soul Storm, which guild seems to be friendly with Nolarita and Nydyma in the person of Leesh. I would that if any see or hear of Cronin that they inform me as soon as possible, that I might discover what it is that keeps him from embracing his family to his bosom.
Humbly, Elizabeta Blackwood, Cleric in training.
Rained revenge on peoples of foreign lands with new friend
Last eve I fought side by side with a seasoned Cabalist named Agromar. We accomplished several missions together as well as battles at Caer Benowyc and Berkstead. Together we rid the land of a stealher at the Benowyc docks .... I experienced great satisfaction at his dismise!
I was impressed with Agromar's calm patience and quiet determination and I recommend he be considered as a Patron of the House of Aurelius.
I look forward to more adventures with this new friend!
Nydyma Aviusum, Guild Protector Patron of the House of Aurelius Steadfast in Adversity
Guild Ranks in the process of being revised....
Hear Ye, Hear Ye....
The current guild structure is now under revision. All members will be made Members in Good Standing, or Member Under Review, except for myself and Guild Protector Nydyma, until further notice. Of course you remain patrons of the house the Aurelius, and we are thrilled that you do so.
The old structure, while fine for it's time, will not work with the direction we want to take the house. We hope to be able to award titles based on merit for services other then growing in stature within your profession.
The new ranks with have more to do with services for the guild, events attended, stories told, lives lived other then in the pursuit of self glory.
Whilst we recognize that achievement in our fields of endeavor is important for the defense of the realm, we feel that there are many other attributes that are nearly as important. Look for more news in the parchments to follow.
Nydyma and Nolarita on Kymbria's ML1 run
Huzzah! Nydyma and I have finished ML 1. A great deal of thanks is owed to Maxzar Stormharp of the Divine Alliance and Leesh of the Soul Storm.

Nydyma and Nolarita have acquired personal houses and some other good news...
I have moved my personal home from the Avalon Marsh to the Coombe Hill section of Chiltern. It is house number 1258. The interior is under construction, and may be for awhile, as there are several Roman fittings that I have to have specially installed. I will announce when it is fit for company. I was sorry to leave the Marsh behind, but as I only return for 3 of the solstice celebrations, or the odd herb or two, it seemed the wisest decision.
Nydyma has moved her prized possessions from Cottswold to the Lambeth section of Sherborne. Her house is number 1551. I am sure she will leave a bit of parchement when she is ready to receive company.
Also, it is with a glad heart that we announce that Elizabeta has returned to Albion. Julilla had a conversation with Leesh of Soul Storm. Leesh said that she had seen Elizabeta in Gothwaite Harbor spellcrafting. Elizabeta then sent her thoughts to me, and explained that the Ghods had put her under a long term sleep spell. Likely they wanted her to rest after her long search for her brother. There has been no news on that front sadly.
Nolarita can be found doing the pre-spring cleaning of the guild house.....
Hail One and All,
As I prepare for the spring festivals... News comes that our brothers have been returning from their sabbaticals. Segundus and Init have all been in the lands of late.
Also please note that if you want to contact anyone in the Heirophants you must do so in the normal manner, as they are no longer in alliance with us, and you can no longer send your thoughts along that channel. Sadly, they went their own way while I was in my meditative state.
Nydyma has been seen about the lands again! Huzzah! Be sure to thank the Ghods for her return. I look forward to seeing you all again, and hope that we can find the time to swap stories by the fire....
