New Years Eve Party!

Meetings! Oh my. . .   

Congrats to Marthammor on being approved as our newest member at Saturday's Meeting!  Also, Portue and Remorin have requested assistance with some Trollshaws group quests so if you see them on please ask if they need any help with those quests!

Welcome to Grazili, Barakuzn, Tylori/Tylorin, and Archipellago, our newest recruits! 

I'd like to remind everyone to try and attend meetings on Saturday nights, I'd like to see some more turnout for these, especially from recruits who are up for membership votes! You won't get approved if you don't show up, folks!  We try and have some games after each meeting, maybe now that the festivals are back we can do some chicken chasing games after the next meeting! 

I'm still looking for an RP officer to organize RP events and liaison with other kinships for joint RP events.  I simply don't have the time or skill to come up with these kind of things!  So if you think you can do it and want to devote some time to it, please let me know!

Last Week's Meeting, March to Moria   

A brief summary of last week's meeting:
Congratulations to Elocorin, Baraztarag, and Grimshac on being approved as full members! Welcome to Baruk Khazad!

Passed Vote: A motion by Thradin that allows for any member to request quest assistance officially at a weekly meeting and the kin will then schedule the best day and time to help that person before the next kin meeting.  This week's Quest Help Night is Thursday, I and other officers will be on hand to assist with quests (although no official requests were made)

Congratulations to Baraztarag, Elocorin, and Marthammor on winning our little Freeze Tag Tourney and some nice prize pots, it was a very fun time out at the Freeze Tag Castle. 

Recruitment Night/Roaming RP Party is this Friday beginning at 7 PM EST.  We will form a party and wander through the lower level zones from Ered Luin to the Lone Lands assisting people in roleplay mode and making friends, trying to recruit some new players! So be there! All levels 15+ are welcome.

The March to Moria is this Saturday at 1 PM EST, it is being hosted by several other kinships but many kin's will be involved in marching all the way to the gates of Moria in full Roleplay and having a fun time, so be on at 1 PM EST on this Saturday!

This Week's Kin Meeting   

This Week's Kin Meeting will be at 8:30 PM EST on Saturday the 29th, at the kinhall.  We will have several new recruits eligible for a membership vote, so please try to attend.  Also, any new recruits who were in the kinship as of last saturday are eligible for member votes provided they have reached level 15.  If you are one of these people, please try and attend or you will have to wait until next week's vote.  Afterwards there will be food, drink, games and prizes!  See you there!

Meeting and RP Night Saturday, other things!   

We will be having a kinship meeting tonight (saturday) at 9 pm EST, with some RP time afterwards at the Prancing Pony or perhaps out in the world.  I hope to see many people there!  I want to welcome the 5 or so new members we recruited last night in our "Dwarf Assistance Recruitment Program", or DARP, as I like to call it!  I'd also like to welcome back Elekoth and his Rune-Keeper named Synthi (sp?), he was with us a while ago and had to leave, but hes back now! 

Also, I want to remind everyone and all new members, we have a Ventrillo server, the info for which can be seen on our Ventrillo page on this site after you register as a member, or ask any of the officers in-game.   Everyone is welcome to join, log on, chat at any time, myself, Dredlin, Thoor, Kili, and Oakenhelm are often on there.  We'd love to hear from more of you!

In addition, I'd like to remind everyone to /joinchannel BK on all their alts so they can talk to kin members when not playing in kin. 

And lastly, I've purchased us our own Domain name, so this website can now be reached more easily by typing www.baruk-khazad.net

Greetings brethren!  It has been long since my last update and unfortunately due to some RL issues such as my computer going haywire, my keyboard going on the fritz, and some major home renovations going on for me, I've been offline for 2 weeks.  I plan on being back much more now that Moria is coming, and I hope to see you all in game soon!  Please be active in recruiting, especially lower level players.  We need an influx of new mid and lower level Dwarves to help revitalize us with Moria coming.  If you are interested in recruiting, please send me a tell or a letter and I can give you some tips on how to do so.  See you in game!

We will be trying a new meeting time SATURDAYS @ 9pm EST. Due to the fact that some members will not be able to make it on Sunday nights.

Whew!   

Been a while since I posted news, I don't want it to look like I'm not still here!  I am! 

Things have cooled down at my work, at least for now, although they may pick back up again.  But I've been back, playing at least 3 or 4 nights a week, and more when I can.  Meetings are still on Sunday and I hope more people will show up as I was all ready to give away 3 gold in prizes last week but we didn't have enough people to do the game I had planned!  So show up!  Sunday at 8 PM EST every week!  And don't forget to say hello to our newer members, Tsori and Macdaddi (oh theres others too, but my brain is fried right now and its early in the morning!)

Back, I hope . . .   

Well, I've been playing less the last couple weeks because of my work schedule, but hopefully I'll be back more often.  Check the events calender for some new "event" nights I'll be trying to coordinate, like a high level group night on Wednesdays, Alt night thursdays, PvMP night Saturdays, and Epic book help night Mondays. 

Also, try to join us for kinship meetings on Sunday and the fun events afterwards!

Next week is my birthday on Sunday so I won't be around for the kin meeting.  See you in Middle-Earth!
